Hi Matt,
I just came across your site and was really pleased to read some positive stuff about the disease for once and some advice about natural remedies, there seems to be so much depressing stuff out there and people happily popping drugs and steroids without questioning the side effects. Ok long winded but:
I was diagnosed with colitis 5 years ago and have had a constant flare up for the past 2 and a half years. I've been pretty upbeat about the whole thing and I don't think many people realised I had it. I stopped seeing doctors because I refused to take steroids which they considered the only option. It got a lot worse recently (after I took antibiotics for a chest infection- I am never going to touch antibiotics again but anyway!..)so I did some research and found out about QXCI testing. I had the test which showed I had some weird bacteria in my stomach. The QXCI practitioner told me to drink charcoal, spirulina and cabbage juice every day and to eat lots of beetroot and cut out gluten and sugar. I didn't expect it to help for a minute and my stomach was hugely bloated so I thought it was doing more harm than good but then after about 4 days the bleeding just stopped, for the first time in 2 and a half years!! I am crossing my fingers as I write as I am fully aware it could come back any second but any respite is sweet!! Anyway I have a big smile on my face and am quaffing cabbage juice happily. One thing: I was told it was fine just to boil the cabbage and drink the water as I don't have a juicer.

I have saved your site to my favourites and really look forward to hearing about more of the remedies you've tried. Take care Sally

Hi Matt,
I hope it's okay that I am writing to you. I noticed on your blog that you mentioned that you are living with Crohn's. I was very interested in what you had to say about finding a good doctor because I work for a public relations firm that has a client who is involved in Crohn's research. And I am attempting to better understand how to best help Crohn's patients. I am trying to pass along research to the client about what Crohn's patients want most and what they need. Is there anything you would want me to share with them? And is there any research or information you would like from me?
Best Regards,
Tanya

Hey Brenda,
Thanks for stopping by. Let me know how the chicken soup turns out. The picture actually came with the Wordpress theme that I am using. The name of the theme is MistyLook.

Hi Matt,
Just wanted to tell you I like your website. I have ulcerative colitis and have had some of the same experiences you've had regarding doctors, drugs and diet. I'm gonna try your chicken soup, thanks for the recipe.
Brenda.

PS. The picture on your website is amazingly beautiful, where did you get it?
